We are a growing and dynamic company based in Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire looking for an experienced IT Consultant x 2 who can take our software development activities to the next stage. The successful applicants should be graduates with a degree level qualification or NQF level 6 or above.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Design and implement measurement systems software to the specification.
- Work with other members of the software development team to meet project goals.
- Participate in the creation of product specifications.
- Be an active participant in all aspects of team delivery, including requirements gathering and grooming, development and testing, continuous integration and delivery, service transition and support documentation creation.
- Assist with feasibility studies for new applications and projects.
- Redesign/refactor Legacy software code using standard coding practices and rules.
- Front End software programmatical changes based on business demand.
- Practice TDD and improve test coverage of existing and new code.
- Deliver, track and report on software development progress against defined and agreed milestones using the available tools.
- Making contributions to R&D resulting in novel functionality and new product offerings.
- Measure and improve the effectiveness of functional and non-functional checks.
- Adhere to standards and processes to ensure the best practice of the software development team (e.g.:- naming conventions, branching strategies, etc.), with a particular focus on the security of the solutions that are developed.
- Documentation of End to end-to-end business process workflow and subsequent training to business users for smooth transition of the project.
- Provide expert advice to all levels of the business (in a language that non-IT stakeholders can understand) supporting the development and procurement of systems.
- Function independently or/and in a team environment and deliver results.
- Configure and maintain development, test, and Production server environments.
- Collaborative spirit and clear communication skills.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree is a must.
- Working experience in IT industry or a product development company.
- Experience/Knowledge in developing, re-engineering, testing, and debugging cloud technologies.
- Experience in configuring load balancer and SSL certificates in WAF (NGINX).
- Interface with the Development Managers and project managers on schedules and delivery dates.
- Multi-task and manage numerous activities related to developing bespoke Applications.
